GU-ECM
Gratis University Engagement & Commitment Model (GU-ECM)
At Gratis University, our mission is to empower serious learners who are committed to transforming their lives through education. Since we operate on a tuition-free model, we expect students to show genuine engagement, dedication, and progress.
To ensure that learners do not abuse or take for granted the opportunity we provide, we have implemented the Gratis University Engagement & Commitment Model (GU-ECM). This model mandates that students must demonstrate consistent engagement with learning materials and scheduled activities—failure to do so within one month will result in immediate expulsion from the programme.
Key Components of the GU-ECM
1 Minimum Engagement Requirements
All students must meet the following engagement criteria every month:
✅ Complete at least 70% of scheduled learning activities (lectures, assignments, projects).
✅ Log into the learning platform at least 4 times per week.
✅ Participate in scheduled discussions, mentorship sessions, or peer activities.
✅ Submit progress reports or project updates as required by the programme.2 Automated & Manual Monitoring
✔ AI-powered tracking system monitors student logins, course progress, and assignment submissions.
✔ Mentor & faculty oversight ensures students are actively applying what they learn.
✔ Monthly performance review identifies students who are not meeting the engagement threshold.3 Warning & Expulsion Process
Step 1: First Warning (Week 2)
- If a student shows little to no engagement within two weeks, they receive an automated warning email and a personal message from their mentor.
- They are given 7 days to correct their engagement levels.
Step 2: Final Warning (Week 3)
- If no significant improvement is seen after the first warning, the student receives a final notice.
- They must meet with an academic advisor and explain their lack of engagement.
Step 3: Expulsion (Week 4)
- If the student still fails to engage by the end of the fourth week, they are automatically expelled from Gratis University.
- They lose access to all course materials, mentorship, and university resources.
- Expelled students may only reapply after two months.
